The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disabilities & Autism
Nicky is an experienced Supporter with years of experience supporting Experts with Lived Experience in Oliver McGowan Training sessions She is also a trained Tier 1 and Tier 2 Facilitator.
Chrissie has had years of experience supporting Experts during Oliver McGowan training sessions and is a trained Autistic Expert and Facilitator for both Tier 1 and Tier 2.
Chrissie is also a qualified Tier 2 Oliver McGowan Lead Trainer which enables her to train up other Facilitators and Experts with Lived Experience.

Tier 1 Training Sessions
What is Tier 1?
Tier 1 training consists of a 1 hour webinar presented by a facilitator, a co-trainer with lived experience of a learning disability and a co-trainer with lived experience of autism.
Who should do Tier 1 training?
Staff who work for a CQC registered organisation in a role that is not patient-facing should attend Tier 1 training.

Tier 2 Training Sessions
What is Tier 2?
Tier 2 is a full day of training delivered in person. The topic in the morning is Learning Disabilities. This session is delivered by a facilitator and an Expert with Lived Experience of a Learning Disability.
The topic in the afternoon is Autism. This session is delivered by a facilitator and an Expert with Lived Experience of Autism. The training can be done in two half days if necessary.
Who should attend T2 training?
Staff who interact with patients/ residents within a CQC registered organisation (face to face or via the phone) should attend this training.
How can we help?
We deliver regular Oliver McGowan Tier 2 training sessions alongside our Experts with Lived Experience. We do open sessions where people can book on individually or we can be booked to deliver training to full staff teams.

The cost of the training is £79.99 + VAT per delegate.
The training is in person and runs from 9:30am - 4:30pm.

Our packages start at just £899 + VAT. We will work out a bespoke price for training your staff team which covers training resources, admin time and the Facilitator's wage as well as the wages, ongoing support and travel expenses for our Experts with Lived Experience who will co-deliver your training.

'I'm a neurodivergent mental health professional and the training delivered by Inclusive Insights was phenomenal. Due to both personal and professional experience I feel I am well versed within neurodivergent folks but I found myself learning a lot!
The staff were incredibly accommodating of my sensory needs, providing reassurance surrounding my stimming and making sure I felt comfortable to speak during the session when invited to. Due to autism being one of my special interests I often feel insecure when I talk about it or try to add to educating conversations, but I was made to feel welcomed and that my words have value.
