Experts with Lived Experience
The work that we do would not be possible without our amazing Experts with Lived Experience and their contribution to the training.
Oliver's training MUST be co-delivered by Experts with Lived Experience. Any bespoke training delivered by Inclusive Insights will also be co-produced and co-delivered.
Nicky and Chrissie work hard to ensure that person-centred adjustments are made for all of the Experts before, during and after training. This is done to allow the Experts to thrive and fully enjoy the experience of delivering training.
Learning Disability Experts
We currently have 9 Learning Disability Experts working for us and they are all amazing. Many have worked with us since 2024 so we have a great working relationship. They all enjoy being involved in the training, especially as it gives them the rare opportunity of paid work!
Autistic Experts
We currently have 8 Autistic Experts working with us who are all fabulous and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. We never tire of hearing their stories and listening to their insights.
It's been wonderful to see their self-awareness and confidence grow through delivering training.

"I first met Chrissie and Nicky in March 2024 when I attended Oliver McGowan Tier 2 Training with my former employment group. The session was enjoyable although at one point I had to step out as I was overwhelmed and Chrissie came out with me and asked if I was okay. She instantly put me at ease, staying with me until I felt able to return to the session.
I was then encouraged by both Nicky and Chrissie to consider training up to deliver Tier 2 as an Autistic Expert which I have been doing since being trained in June/July 2024. Both Nicky and Chrissie have been so compassionate and empathetic in every session they have supported me in and are always happy to hear about my adventures and special interests.
At times I have still had to step out of the sessions but because of the support Chrissie and Nicky have given me, it has stopped the need to go out as I have felt safe and understood which can be difficult for me to feel at times.
If it wasn't for Chrissie and Nicky, I wouldn't have had the confidence and skills that I have gathered and have grown from the training as I have done. In turn, they are also amazing advice givers and have helped me to understand unfamiliar and new situations.
I have learnt so much and wouldn't be so confident in sharing my special interests or happy times without Nicky and Chrissie's support. Without them I would most likely have had very little confidence".

I have been delivering the Oliver McGowan Training since January 2024.
It has been the best experience of my life working alongside Chrissie and Nicky.
What I love about delivering the training with Chrissie and Nicky is having a good laugh and sharing my special interests which are Barney the Dinosaur and Kat Slater from Eastenders.
I bring Kat and Barney with me to the training, they are the mascots of Inclusive Insights. They support me during the training and they are there for me when I need them.
The one message I want everyone to take away from this training is to respect and listen to people who have Learning Disabilities and Autism and not treat us badly.
